The George Hotel is a friendly, family run, thatched 15th century Country Town Hotel, It is situated in the centre of the historic town of Castle Cary.
Seventeen en-suite guest rooms individually designed along with an a La Carte menu and chefs daily specials makes it a superb place to stay. The A La Carte menu, alongside the chefs daily specials, can be enjoyed in either of the two bars at the George Hotel, or, for more intimate dining the lovely beamed and wood panelled restaurant is available.All rooms have been individually designed and offer all the home comforts including colour T/V, radio, direct dial telephone and tea/coffee-making facilities.

From the East
M5 exit junction 8 and join the A303. After about 60 miles join the A371 to Castle Cary After about 5 miles turn left to enter North Street After about 0.3 miles you will arrive at the George Hotel, Market Place Park in the small car park to the rear of the hotel, or alternatively the free Town car park (150yds away).
From the North
M5 exit junction 23 to join the A39 At Glastonbury join the A361 eastbound. After about 8 miles turn left to enter the A37 After 250 yds take the second exit on the roundabout onto the A371 Follow the A371 until you join the B3152 After 0.8 miles bear left to enter the Woodcock Street (B3152) After 140 yds turn left to enter the Market Place Park in the small car park to the rear of the hotel, or alternatively the free Town car park (150yds away).
From the South West
M5 exit junction 25 After 8.7 miles take the first exit on the roundabout on to the A303 Follow the A303 to Sparkford and then join the A359 After 2.9miles bear left to enter the B3152 After 1.4 miles you will have arrived at the George Hotel. Park in the small car park to the rear of the hotel, or alternatively the free Town car park (150 yds away).
By Air
The nearest international airport is Bristol (approx 1 hour) providing a broad selection of scheduled flights across Europe. Alternatively Exeter Airport is approx 1 hour away.
By Rail
The George Hotel is close to the towns own rail station in Castle Cary which, links the town to popular seaside resorts such as Bournemouth, Weymouth, Seaton and Beer with the cities of Bristol and Bath also close by.
